This art and graphic design project commissioned by Australian punk band Nerdlinger in 2015 involved interpreting design ideas from the band members to create a collaborative brief featuring amusing characters and scenes for their CD;s outer and inner cover, as well as some tour posters.
'Trendy,' the character of a hipster dog was full of many small jokes (in many cases only visible with magnifying glass) littered throughout the inner cover scene of Trendy's messy bedroom strewn with paraphernalia of his loose lifestyle.
Another challenge to this project was creating the 'Nerdlinger,' band typography modelled after the style of the Wilson brand of tennis ball.
The 'Friends with Benefits,' poster was particularly fun to work on with references to Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, and Godzilla.
These images remain the intellectual property of the Nerdlinger band and their respective labels and stakeholders therein.
